Call for papers

10 March 2015

The Journal of Art Historiography,, publishes a general issue every December each year. Its specific focus is: ‘how’ and ‘why’ does art history get written in the way that it does? We welcome the submission of papers on the work of particular historians, the borders of art history where it overlaps other disciplinary domains, its formation as a subject of enquiry and general issues of enquiry. We also welcome contributions from scholars outside the Anglophone cultural nexus, such as Latin America, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia and South East Asia. Contributions must be in English, to promote knowledge and awareness of other traditions of enquiry within the Anglophone domain. The journal is Open Access and charges no publication fees. Its submission guidelines are available at and the editor welcomes enquiries and submissions at any point of the year.
